Happy Birthday Marine Corp!
I wish I could make the familiar Marine grunt/sound/yell, whatever it is I love to hear it. May you always be respected and loved.
Lesbians on Ice
Yesterday on Jerry Springer, yes I watch that occasionally but that’s a whole ‘nother topic, Lesbians on Ice was the title. Let me explain. (It took me a few minutes) This woman, supposedly a lesbian, brought two women on the show. She said she loved them both and couldn’t decide who to be with. Her solution? Freeze a ring in the middle of a huge block of ice. Whoever gets to the ring first wins the relationship.
Now, you have to laugh, right? These two girls didn’t fight and didn’t seem to really care who won but rubbed their bodies all over the ice until it melted and one grabbed the ring. She got what turned from a wedding into a ‘commitment’. Gotta love it.
And yes, Jerry will help dumb down your mind.
Twenty Babies? Oh, My!
The link takes you to the full story in case you’re interested. I’m aghast. I’d love to talk to this woman. Childbirth is supposed to get easier. I wonder if she just uncrosses her legs and they fall out? She is certainly to be admired having a baby at 45. She’ll be 65 when that child graduates from high school. I hope the romance still flows in that relationship. You email me, Mrs. Duggar, and I’ll send you a few free ebooks to keep the fire burning…
I used to have dreams of a big family but my dreams never included 20 children. I’m going to have to start watching their television show to see how the logistics of their life work. Things like this fascinate me. I went to school with a girl who was one of 8 children. I remember the teachers used to ask, “Are you the last one?” And she was. Imagine always having a sibling to talk to and play with. I’m sure there are trials and tribulations but in the end, I bet they focus on the positive.

Here’s a short blurb:
At ninety, Rose doesn’t have a lot of days left, but her memories are plentiful. The picture beside her bed depicts one of her fondest remembrances. She and Henry once danced under the stars all night long.
A momentous decision pairs with a lifelong friend and she finds that it is possible to reminisce a memory into being…

Are You Ready for some Football?
There’s nothing like Monday night football. One of my favorite things about it is hearing Hank Williams Jr. sing his song (for 22 years)…but no more. He’s been fired by FOX. Read more about that HERE.
If you go to his website you can get a free download of his song/response to Fox and ESPN.
This both intrigues and amuses me. You gotta love a country where everyone can express an opinion!
Appreciation
I appreciate my family, my friends and of course anyone who reads my writing. This week is teacher appreciation week so I’ve been thinking about how we, as a society, appreciate those around us. Everyone I know appreciates our American heroes who defend our rights and freedoms. Most appreciate honesty, caring and trustworthiness in those we work with on a daily basis. Do I appreciate my day job? Some days not at all and some days I have to remind myself of all of those people without jobs. I’ve come to the conclusion that to truly appreciate something you must lose it if even for a short time.
Think about it. We take so many things for granted these days. Most don’t appreciate having a car to get them where they want to be- unless it breaks down. Do you always appreciate your spouse? Or do you only realize how much you depend on him or her when he or she isn’t around? Do you appreciate your pets? Having money to shop for clothing or food? Do you appreciate where or how you live? These are some of the random thoughts swimming through my muddled mind this evening. Take away what you will but tomorrow when you wake up- appreciate it!
Food for Thought…
