I’m an author of several stories, some in print and some in various digital formats. In this day and age of going green I’m really surprised that more people don’t read ebooks. They don’t take up space and if you have a portable device like the Kindle you can carry tons of books with you. Seems like a win-win situation right? If you check my book pages you will find several ebooks available. In honor of ebook week I’m going to give away one free ebook of my choosing this week. Leave a comment here about how often you read ebooks and I will randomly choose a winner on Wednesday evening.
I’m not entering into the contest, but to say – ebooks are the best. It’s nice to know that I am helping a little to reduce my carbon footprint on the world.
Good luck to all who enter, because Kissa’s very talented!
I like e-book cause I live a long hour away from book stores so I read e books for the selection I can get in just mins. Oh and of course I like that I’m saving the earth too
Hi Kissa, I read e-books all the time. I started reading them on my laptop, but soon broke down and bought a reader. I love having so many books on one small device. Stops the hubby from fussing about all the books around.
I read more e-books now then I did before. Bookstores are a distances from me and it is easy to just order the e-book and download it. I would read more e-books if I had a reader, but I haven’t bought one yet.
I don’t read e-books as often as I would like, about 1 every 2 to 3 weeks, as opposed to 3- 4 paper books a week, but that is mainly because I dod not have a portable e-reader yet. As soon as I get one, the frequency will definitely increase, since i will be able to take the books on the bus with me.
Now, would love to win a e-book, since I made a New Year’s Resolution to win at least five contests a month, and have not been anywhere close this year yet. And I love winning books, since I am addicted to reading.
Not having an e reader I don’t read so many e-books yet. I do read them on Adobe through computer. But I love the book overs and love print books in general.

Before all the cool new devices came out I purchased a palm pilot so I could read some of my ebooks that I have bought. I was reading them all the time, until I joined a book ring where we share books and most of my reading time is now taken up with that. I am hoping the cost of the ereaders will come down in price-I will then buy one of them and put my hundreds of books on it to read. I do take and get some series in ebook and then trade off the paperback copies to my friends trying to fill in some of the gaps I have in my series.
I still read mostly print, but I find that I’m reading e-books more and more; probably about 1 a week? There’s such a variety, plus that whole instant gratification factor
Thanks, Kissa!
Every other book I read is an ebook. If I’m lucky (and work isn’t too taxing), I read about 2 books per week. Basically I flip back and forth between ebooks and paperbacks.
Come great comments so far. It’s interesting to read about reading habits and how ebooks fit into that.
I still want to have a few printed books in my hands, because people are still clueless about ebooks.
hi kissa,
I read alot more ebooks now.I live 25 miles from the nearest bookstore,so being able to get books online is great.I read some on the computer ,but most on my ereader.my parents have alot of doctor appointments so I have alot of time waiting in doctor offices.having an ereader is much handier.I can have a good selection of books without having to drag around a bunch of paperbacks.
You each got a number and then I let someone else pick one at random. Char you are the winner!! Congratulations and if you email me at kissa_starling@yahoo.com I will send you your free ebook.
