Haha Rochelle, glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like creatures in the house. The other day my DH and I saw a lizard outside and he tried to scare me with it. He doesn’t get the fact that I’m okay with them OUTSIDE.

That reminds me of when a rat got into my house in Hawaii while my husband was at sea. I ran next door to get a neighbor to help. Her husband wasn’t home, either. We crept back into my house and when we saw the thing again, we both jumped up onto the coffee table. I looked at her and said, “You’re lots of help.” She said, “At least you’re not up here looking silly by yourself.”
Fortunately, DH was out on “weekly ops” where they went out on Monday and came back on Friday. So, I put down a trap and the thing stayed there once it was caught until the submarine got back and DH was home to remove it. (It was only one or two days.)

Honoria- yeah, I told my DH that I’m a girl and it states in the marriage contract that HE will kill the spiders.

Mahalia- gotta love duct tape!

Janice- who’s account are you going to believe? I think it was around 5-6 inches. According to the hubby it was a baby- so small he couldn’t see it! Yeah right.

Pat- a bat? Came in your bedroom? I’d have to move!

Shirin- glad to give you a laugh. I’m laughing too- NOW. haha

Sylvia- WOW. Did your DH catch him? haha I’ve come across those in Jekyll Island while riding bikes. I don’t mind any creature outside. But inside the house, that’s my area.

Kissa, I had your lizard’s cousin in my backyard last week–a seven and a half foot alligator. Now, THAT”S A BIG lizard. Not unusual for me as I live surrounded by a swamp.

Funny story, Kissa. Love DH’s reaction. Classic. No lizards in New Hampshire, but a bat came in through the bedroom fireplace once. The cats had a blast chasing it but I didn’t stop shaking until the animal control officer took it away in a big net.

How big was this lizard? And no I don’t believe it was Godzilla.

I had a tiny one in my home, my daughter caught it and kept it in a cage for a while, until I told her to let it lose in my garden. I think its still there. I keep seeing one scampering away across the top of the fence.

I have that reaction to spiders. I dropped a giant dictionary the floor because there was a spider on it. It woke my mother up, and she was really pissed when she came into the room to find out that the screaming and thud were not the result of me falling, but it was just a stupid LITTLE spider.

DH came home. He said the lizard was so small he couldn’t reach it inside the window pane. Hmm, I didn’t know reptiles shrank. Wow, you learn something every day! Anyways he opened the outside window and closed the inside one. Now the cute lil’ thing can crawl right outside! Isn’t that special. And now I’m wondering- why didn’t I think of that?!!
