I watched this movie at home with my family today. I have to say I kept waiting for the huge Hollywood twist but it never came. I cried most of the way through. This was a simple plot as movies go- but every action had meaning and those meanings meant a lot, especially today. I encourage everyone to watch this movie.
That reminds me of when a rat got into my house in Hawaii while my husband was at sea. I ran next door to get a neighbor to help. Her husband wasn’t home, either. We crept back into my house and when we saw the thing again, we both jumped up onto the coffee table. I looked at her and said, “You’re lots of help.” She said, “At least you’re not up here looking silly by yourself.”
Fortunately, DH was out on “weekly ops” where they went out on Monday and came back on Friday. So, I put down a trap and the thing stayed there once it was caught until the submarine got back and DH was home to remove it. (It was only one or two days.)
I saw it when it first came out back in March. I even blogged about it. Amazing movie! It honestly opens your eyes. This was my blog: http://dee-shore.blogspot.com/2009/03/taking-chance.html
