An absolutely awesome writer/editor, Faith Bicknell-Brown, is always posting funny stories about animals getting into her house. These posts of hers make me laugh ’til I cry….and then it happened to me! I have two Siamese cats. One lives outside most of the time and one lives inside and always tries to get out but then changes his mind because he doesn’t have a clue what to do outside. (or so I thought) His latest antics include jumping up and running into the front door. It’s his way of knocking to be let in.So I go to open the door for this lunatic cat who has only been outside for a few minutes. He scurries in. I should mention that it’s dark outside and I’m not really paying him any attention- until I see that he’s carrying something. OMG Now I’m not usually a squeamish person but when I saw an unidentified object struggling, yes STRUGGLING to get out of his mouth, I screamed! The cat casually walked into the kitchen and set down his prey. Um, okay, I tiptoe toward him….the small animal hops around, the cat strikes him again. This happens several times.By this time I’m screaming to the husband, “You’re going to have to go get it! I’m not touching that. Go NOW! I can’t sleep with that in the house. It’s stilllll movvvving!” The hubby was not happy with me but he took up the gauntlet and rid my kitchen of this:
Ha!! Makes me glad I live in L.A., where the only animals are hipsters!
Funny Kissa! Faith’s luck is rubbing off on you.
I shouldn’t have laughed at Faith’s stories so hard. Karma got me! hahaha Thanks for stopping by Lucy and Lisa- hey two L’s!!
Aw, poor little chipmunk! I wouldn’t want it in my kitchen, though, either! I have enough issues with our flying squirrels. *sigh* One of them actually jumped on top of me in the middle of the night when I was asleep. Woke me up, I can tell you!
You have flying squirrels LK? OMG! Where do you live?
