I agree with you Tess. That's one of the reasons I was so glad that Mary agreed to answer my many questions.
Thanks again Mary!

Thanks so much to Pink Petals Publisher, Mary Winter and to you too Kissa, for such an open and informative interview. We need more publishers doing this type thing.

Mary redid some numbers last night and asked me to change the number of ebooks sold before going to print. (From 500 to 300) I wanted to point that out for those of you who held that as a concern.
This is a great way to research a new publisher before you submit. Feel free to ask questions here or contact Mary directly from the website.

Thanks Faith & Leigh for the congrats.

I went ahead and answered Tierney's question on my own blog.

Ginger -- don't sell yourself or your books short. If you have some questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me (there's a contact us form on the website), and I'd be happy to talk to you about them, and about the reasonings for some of the numbers. There is also no time limit on those sales, which means a book could go into print a few months after release or a year or so. Hope this helps!!!

And thanks Kissa for posting the interview!

I was very interested up until the point that one must qualify for print by amassing 500 electronic sales. I have a fan base, and traditionally, most of my sales are generated by print. This sort of leaves those of us with readers who prefer print books out in the cold. I know for a fact I would never achieve 500 download sales.
